Coverage Definitions for Auto Insurance
Bodily Injury Liability
Coverage when other people are injured by your car and it's
determined you are at fault. Other people include pedestrians,
passengers, and people in other vehicles. Bodily Injury coverage
does not cover your injuries, which are covered by the Medical
Payments portion of your policy. By law, your policy must
provide at least:
$15,000 for the injury or death of one person $30,000 for
the injury or death of two or more persons
You may wish to purchase higher limits than those required
by law. This coverage protects you and your family against
suits for damage or injury that you may have caused. If an
insufficient amount of insurance has been purchased, you
can still be held liable for the remainder of the costs.

vehicle, lamp post, telephone pole or building with your
